This is one painting that I started as an abstract painting. I played with just the two colors and then I looked to see “what does it feel like?” Then I started to see the field, mountains, trees, and water.
I really love how the mind can pull the familiar out of the apparently random. Doing such an exercise can tell you a lot about your visual library.
